Friday Finds #12

I have Friday Finds for you!!! I really enjoyed doing this weeks and hope you love them too! I will really try to keep them up every week as much as possible. I am actually off to do some homework right now... enjoy!

1. Marie Antoinette Print

[source]
Love this print! I may have a slight obsession with Marie Antoinette... Ever since I did that project on her in 5th grade, I have been in awe (I covered my board in stings of pearls oh, it was awesome). Not really into her politics... more of her style.

2. The Complete Sherlock Holmes

[source]
I may have mentioned this before, but his is my absolute favorite book of all time. I received a version of this book for Christmas when I was around 13 and I read through it in one week, I could not put it down!! I absolutely love Doyle, and when I saw this beautiful edition at Barnes and Noble I was so excited (makes a great gift)!

3. Duchess Ring

[source]
You are seeing a theme through this post aren't you... completely unintentional! Seriously how cute is this ring?! I really love every single thing in Beatrice's shop, adorable!

4. Marie Antoinette Background

[source]
More with the unintentional theme... I was so excited when I found this picture! Not only is it gorgeous and from one of my favorite movies but, it is also big enough to make my desktop background... and that is where it is right now!

5. Anthro Booties

[source]
These adorable boots are everywhere! Whether you are in Urban or Target you will find versions of these little lace up booties. I am actually really glad they are in because I have been looking for a pair while thrifting foreverrrr but they are never in my size!

6. Mrs. Press Clothing

[source]
Love these cute pastel clothes from the Sydney designer Mrs. Press. Everything is made in limited quantities and sold at a small boutique. A lot if items include vintage touches, everything is really beautiful!

7. Knit Headband

[source]
How cute is this?! I have wanted a cute knit headband/head warmer... not quite sure what to call them... and this one is my favorite I have found so far, looks even better then the Anthro one I was looking at!

8. Cute Wedding Guests

[source]
I know weddings are all about the bride, but I really love when wedding guests dress well. I know you have seen those pictures of random wedding guests while flipping through photos that really make the wedding. They add to the beauty/charm of it and I think they should be commended, good job guys!

9. Everything Style Blog

[source]
I LOVE Shae and her awesome blog. She has the best vintage style ever, and is an aspiring photographer just like me! She of course has a lot more photographically under her belt then I do, but it is really nice to see someone else striving for the same thing I am.

10. Charlie Chaplin Engagement Shoot

[source]
This may be the cutest/most creative engagement shoot I have ever seen! They really nailed the Charlie Chaplin theme. Not only in costumes, but in a truly comedic feel which is perfect for this type of shoot. Absolutely lovely!!

Friday Finds #11

Friday Finds two weeks in a row! What?! I know, I know, I am trying here!! This week has been extra busy with two projects due, one of them on Miracle Gro yeah... don't ask... I kind of hated it. I am going to start working on headbands again soon and will hopefully post more about that, maybe show some shots of the studio even though it is no where near done. Anyways, here is this weeks Friday Finds, Enjoy!!

1.Cake Hat

[source]
How stinkin adorable is this little hat?? I love, love, love Elsa's blog, which I somehow need to learn how to translate better, because I want to know everything she is saying! I do know she has some of the greatest pictures, and what looks like a pretty fab/adorable life... I don't need words to figure that out.

2. Vintage Dresser DIY

[source]
This shade of teal is probable one of my favorites. It just screams shabby chic/vintage. I kind of hate that term "shabby chic." I don't know why, I just don't like how it sounds. But for right now that is the only way I have of describing this adorable dresser.

3. Bow Belt

[source]
Love this belt! It is no secret I am a sucker for cute, adorable, pastel items. Whether it is for my wardrobe or home I just LOVE the little delicate touches. I especially love the pairing with the little white dress in the picture, too cute!!

4. Unicorn Necklace

[source]
Yes, I love unicorns... Don't scoff! They are super cute and you know it!! Sometimes I think little whimsical touches are fun with certain outfits. And honestly, if I can't wear unicorn necklaces in my 30's, then why not get it out of my system now...

5. Vintage Wedding

[source]
This has to be the cutest little bride I have ever seen! From her adorable cat eye glasses down to her amazing dress and pink cardigan, she is a great example for brides everywhere. She stayed true to herself and her style therefore, she looked effortlessly gorgeous on her big day.

6. Vintage Clothing in Vogue

[source]
I love that the entire world is beginning to embrace vintage clothing and silhouettes. I guess Mad Men may have a big part in this new fashion phase. Wherever the inspiration came from, I am just super excited that it is starting to show up in more and more stores.

7. DIY Contest

[source]
Are you a DIY queen??? Then you need to enter this contest!! I love when great creativity is rewarded. What a fun way to win a couple of extra bucks. Can't wait to see the winner!

8. Pretty Print

[source]
Remember the Meadowlark Etsy shop I featured not too long ago? Well, Becky has created a cute new portrait for the shop. This new little girl may be one of my favorites! Adorable!!

9. Vintage Oxfords

[source]
I LOVE these shoes. Tiny Toad Stool has a really adorable blog where she shares her outfits from day to day. Sometimes she even decides to sell some of her great finds. These shoes are just one of the articles of clothing for sale in her shop. If only my feet were smaller!

10. Floral Steps

[source]
Umm adorable floral steps?? Yes please! I plan on finding a cute little old house with amazing stairs just like this that I can wallpaper. P.S. This cute house will also be white with black shutters and have little window boxes with tons of greenery in them. Yes, that is what my dream house looks like...

Friday Finds #10

Look! It's Friday Finds!! Sorry they have been missing the last couple of weeks. Schools been well, school. I thankfully have a photography class which makes it a little more bearable. Who doesn't like take photos for 5 hours? Yes... it is a 5 hour class... I have tons of projects I am already working on. One of them being a self portrait made of type, yeah not so easy... If you follow me on twitter you have already seen a peek of that. When I am all done I will put it on here. Until then here are some Friday Finds, enjoy...

1. Pastel Bridesmaids

[source]
Cute bridesmaid dresses alert! I have mentioned before how much I appreciate when brides pick out unique and even vintage bridesmaid dresses, and I especially appreciate when they are pastel! I am obsessed with pastels! And blush pink!! OH I just love it!

2. Tea Cup Collection

[source]
How adorable is this?? I am almost inspired to start my own tea cup collection. Like I need another thing to collect (owls and model ships have already taken over my room I don't even know where I would fit tea cups). Oh well, for something this cute I could make room!

3. Couple Illustration

[source]
Love! Love this! Not only is this a beautiful illustration, but how cute is this couple?? I am about to go braid my hair and stick a giant pink flower in it. Sooo cute!

4. Ruffle Socks

[source]
I think sometimes the little details make the outfit. These socks would be an example of just that. How could these adorable socks not be in my wardrobe?

5. Mustache Necklace

[source]
Love this necklace! I especially love that she combined two things I love, mustaches and embroidery. Beatrice has some adorable stuff in her shop, as well as a great blog where she has some really cute outfit posts.

6. Adorable Dishes

[source]
I love a well designed dish. I have a hard time resisting grabbing every pretty dish I see when I am thrifting. So of course when I saw this I fell in love. These really are some adorable dishes, click source to check the rest of them out!

7. Spool Decoration

[source]
I really love when stores take the time to design and decorate well. Anthropologie does a GREAT job of this. This is not an Anthropologie store, but doesn't it look like something they would do?? Adorable!!

8. Camera Lens Mug

[source]
Seriously loooooove this! I say that about everything don't I... Being somewhat of a photographer I really appreciate the novelty of this mug. It looks exactly like a camera lens, but you can sip coffee out of it! I am pretty sure I need one...

9. Notebook Engagement Shoot

[source]
When I first saw this shoot I actually thought it was Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling. But, no it is indeed a couple being shot for their engagement photos. I really applaud the photographer and whoever else made this shoot happen it really looks great!

10. Kling Clothing Line

[source]
I know I have included Kling photo shoots in Friday Finds before, but they are just so darn beautiful i had to add another! Seriously cute clothes, seriously cute photos.

Friday Finds #3

Still haven't decided about the look of Friday Finds, I think I may stick to just random finds. Lately, I have been cleaning every spare moment I get when I am not at school or Starbucks. My room is sooo clean I love it!! I have also cleaned out the room I am going to use for my studio, now I just need to put my desk and shelves together. They are from Ikea, so wish me luck! I can not wait to have everything up and organized so I can get back to working on more headbands! In blog news I am going to start a new type of post soon. It will be called "Featured Favorites" so stay tuned for that! That's enough blabbing for today here are this weeks Friday Finds...

1. DIY Anthro. Inspired Light

[source]
I love this DIY! Ashley Ann came up with this while sitting in her daughter's room. Which goes to show, you never know where you are going to find your next inspiration.

2. Doily Envelope

[source]
How cute and simple is this?? I feel like I should have realized how to do this by just looking at a doily but, sometimes we need to see it done. I can not wait to give someone a note in this cute little envelope!

3. Bookcase Wallpaper

[source]
I have always pictured an entire room of books in my dream house. Wall to wall built in book shelves filled with old leather bound books. Well, now it can happen and for a lot less money!! This book wallpaper is sooo cute I really want to get myself some!!

4. School Photo Shoot

[source]
I thought this photo shoot was such a cute idea. I found it on Elsie's Blog (A Beautiful Mess) which is a constant source of inspiration. I am not sure if she did the shoot for fun, or possibly to promote her online summer school (which is pretty much a fun how-to about the scrap booking/craft world). Either way, I LOVE it.

5. Clever Wall Art

[source]
Oh how true is this statement. I would always rather be thrifting!! And now I can frame my love for this hobby and hang it on my wall!! Ashley has some other very cute artwork as well you should check out!

6. Kraft Paper Kiddie Table

[source]
I LOVE kraft paper. Seriously, I use it for everything. So when I saw this kiddie table I fell in love. The drawn on place mats are my favorite part. You do not need to stick to the square place mat design either, you can draw whatever you like. And what a cheap table cloth alternative!

7. Polka Dot Flats

[source]
Urban Outfitters always has the best shoes. I find a new pair I want every week. So when I saw these little cuties of course I wanted them! I am not always a fan of polka dots, but in moderation I love them!

8. Bird's Nest Ring

[source]
How could you not love this ring! I really want the gold one with the light blue beads (eggs). What a cute, creative idea. Etsy really has the BEST jewelry.

9. Holly Golightly Sleep Mask

[source]
How many of you wanted the adorable sleep mask Audrey was wearing in Breakfast at Tiffanys?? Well now, you can have it!! All thanks to Fred Flare. Sooo cute even if I never use it I still feel like I must get it!

10. The New Kindle Commercial

[source]
The Amazon Kindle commercials are always the best! Sooo creative! And of course, I love them because of the stop motion! Their latest one does not disappoint! Lovee it!!

Hope you enjoyed this weeks Friday Finds! Me and Gab are off for an antiquing adventure! Check back soon for pictures from it!

Cowboys and Indians

So it was my little sister's birthday this past week and we threw her a cowboys and indians party. We did a photo shoot in their cute costumes, had cowboys and indians cupcakes, made macrame indian bracelets, and watched Back to the Future 3 (the wild west one). I think she really liked it and now I can't wait to plan next years party (it will be her sweet 16!!). Here are some of the pics I took enjoy!!!
