Headbands

So I have been working on headbands lately and even some hair clips. They take a little while to make which is why I don't have a ton of colors done yet. I think I am going to start selling them on Etsy very soon!!! Each flower is hand made by me and then fastened to a headband I have made with the coordinating color ribbon. Here's what I have so far...

DIY: Make your own Mustache

I am always changing my room and putting new art on my wall. I love mustaches, not real ones they can be creepy, but felt ones well they are just awesome! Anyway I got to thinking why not combine these two amazing things? And that is when I came up with this new art for my room...

All you really need is some black felt, white paper, a black shadow box frame and a pair of scissors.

I decided to do all the same style of mustache in my frame but I think mixing it up with a few different mustaches would be cute also. Let me tell you cutting out mustaches is not an easy task! I think making a cardboard original to trace would be the best way to go.

Thrift It: Household Items

So the other day me and my friend went thrifting and i found some pretty awesome house hold items...

I loved the colors in this lamp!! I don't love this shade on it but that can always be changed. This lamp was deff. a steal at $4.04. All it really needed was a good scrub and a little bit of black paint on the base.

LOVE LOVE this plate! I am collecting as many vintage plates as I can for my future house. I love the idea of a bunch of mismatched plates instead of a set of typical uniform ones. And at .80 cents how could I pass this one up?

Dream Big

Everyone and their dog has a blog these days so I thought why not see what all the fuss is about. I have recently started creating some little craft type things which I thought I might share on here. I also love clothes, vintage in particular and do quite a bit of thrifting so I thought I might share some of those finds as well.

I must say photography and design are my first love. My ultimate dream is to work for Elle Magazine. I believe it is one of the most artistic fashion magazines from the photographers down to the fonts. I am currently in school majoring in graphic design and know that Elle is quite a long shot but hey, why not dream BIG...
